报告题目： Inverse problems associated with k-sums of sequences over finite abelian groups

报告摘要：Let G = Cn1⊕…⊕Cnr be a finite abelian group with 1 < n1 |. . . | nr and S be a sequence over G. Let ∑k(S) denote the set of group elements which can be expressed as a sum of a subsequence of S with length k. In this talk, we show that if 0 is not in ∑|G|(S) and |S| =|G|+nr−1+k, where k∈[0, nr−1−2], then |∑|G|(S)| ≥ nr(k+2)−1 for some special cases. Moreover, we determine the structure of the sequence S when |∑|G|(S)| reaches the lower bound.

报告嘉宾简介：李元林教授1997年获加拿大纽芬兰纪念大学（Memorial University of Newfoundland）博士学位，之后在阿尔伯塔大学（University of Alberta）做博士后。先后在纽芬兰纪念大学、渥太华大学（University of Ottawa）以及布鲁克大学（Brock University）任教。现为布鲁克大学终身教授，博士生导师。研究领域主要是群论，环论以及组合数论。从1998年开始，先后主持、完成6项加拿大国家自然科学基金项目，并在J. Algebra、Comm. Algebra、Acta Arith.等国际著名学术杂志上发表了100余篇学术论文。
