报告题目：Group algebras of finite abelian groups and their applications to combinatorial problems

报告摘要：Group algebras is a powerful tool in the study of some problems in additive combinatorics. We will present some results on zero-sum and additive bases of finite abelian groups obtained by using group algebras and some open problems in this direction.

报告嘉宾简介：高维东教授1994年博士毕业于四川大学，导师为孙琦教授；1994-1998年先后于大连理工大学和奥地利格拉茨大学从事博士后研究；现就职于天津大学应用数学中心。高维东教授主要研究领域为组合数论和组合数学中的代数方法；建立了两个著名组合课题Davenport常数和Erdős-Ginzburg-Ziv定理之间的基本联系，从而将两者统一起来。这一结论被同行在公开发表的论文和评论中称为基础性结果（a fundamental result）和漂亮（beautiful）的结果，并指出其已众所周知（well known）。已发表学术论文100多篇，先后主持国家自然科学基金项目8项。
