ADS-B surveillance performance estimation at Tianjin Binhai International Airport

摘要: 广播式自动相关监视(ADS-B)是一种基于全球导航卫星系统和航空数据链的航空器监视技术,ADS-B 广
泛应用于民航航路、终端区、机场场面及无雷达覆盖区域的监视。为了定量评估ADS-B 系统在实际应用中
的监视性能,构建了ADS-B 实验系统,通过采集天津滨海国际机场及周边的ADS-B 实验数据,统计分析
得到了ADS-B 系统位置消息平均更新周期、漏点率、跳点率和完好率等参数。研究表明:巡航状态飞机的
消息平均更新周期和漏点率比进场和离场状态的低,部分飞机航迹存在跳点现象且跳点率较低,ADS-B 系
统的位置数据完好率达到98.8%以上。

Abstract: ADS-B(automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast) is a kind of aircraft surveillance technology basing on GNSS(global navigation satellite system) and aeronautical data link. ADS-B is widely used in en-route, terminal area,airport surface and non-radar area surveillance. To quantitatively evaluate surveillance performance of ADS-B in practice, an ADS-B experimental system is constructed near Tianjin Binhai International Airport. ADS-B message updating period, loss rate, jumping rate and integrity are analyzed by using DF-17 data which is collected by the experimental system. Results show that the ADS-B message updating period is shorter and the loss rate of cruising flight is lower than approaching and departuring flight. Some aircrafts may have jumping points with low jumping rate, and the integrity of position data of ADS-B system is up to 98.8%.
